How does Topeak pump work?
The Mini Dual DX works with both directions of the barrel movement, making it quicker than most at inflating your tyre. On most pumps you normally get a rest as you extend the barrel ready to push air back into the tube or tyre, but here the Topeak is forcing air in during both directions of the stroke.
How do you convert a Schrader pump to Presta?
To make the pump compatible with Presta valves firstly make sure the lever at the back of the pump head is down. Put the valve pin depressor with the large open end facing out and then put in the rubber grommet over it with the small hole facing out. Finally, tighten the end cap. Your pump is ready for Presta valves.

How do I fix a leaking bike pump?

Can Presta valve core replace?
If the Presta valve has a unified body, then the core isn’t removable. In case of malfunction, you will have to replace the entire inner tube.
What’s the difference between Presta and Schrader valves?
Presta valves are more commonly used on skinny road bike tires because they are narrower and require a narrower hole in the rim. Presta valves adapt to higher pressure than Schrader. Road bike tires often exceed 125 pounds, while Schrader tubes top out at about half that.
What happens if you put too much air in your bike tires?
The higher pressure makes the bike feel fast but may actually be slowing you down! If the tire is too hard it will have a tendency to vibrate and bounce which increases rolling resistance and makes for an uncomfortable ride.
